Born in Medellin, Colombia in 1987 but currently residing in Miami, USA for over 10 years, Juan Diego Gutierrez known as DJ JD, is actually a local talent in the electronic music scene in Miami, expanding his horizons internationally thanks to his great performance, skills, creativity, and understanding behind the decks.

JD’s passion for music started at an early age when he was involved in piano and flute lessons. At the age of 16, JD makes his first move into digital music and started his musical journey, when he first received a dual cd-player and a two-channel mixer.

JD’s skills, mixing style and technique have opened different doors in the ever-evolving electronic music industry. The sounds that identify him come from: Techno, Tech-House, Minimal-Tech and House.

At the time of his live sets, JD takes his music into a deeper level, categorized as “underground", constructing in each of them an experience full of constructive tendencies with unexpected and explosive unloadings. Who has listened to him, defines his sets as an experience that takes you thru a mental flight making you dance to the beats, a set in which JD, transmits his energy and experience behind the decks.

BOrn and raised in lima, jorge started djing at 15. It all startes with a crappy pair of cheap stantons, some proggy vinyls and a huge amount of enthusiasm. Now 8 years later his music has evolved, while his technique has improved in a refined manner, his style has become a mix of techno, and deep house with the always present tech-house! Not missing a beat and mixing great hours of pumping and groovin techno sets. been groovin the miami dancefloors in a bunch of clubs as a guest dj including nocturnal, indra, la covacha discotekka, parkwest among others.and holding a resdent for most of 2008 at forbidden !
